Bone Hooks Performance by MurmurationsDance

Bone Hooks Performance by MurmurationsDance

Murmurations Aerial is located at 208 Flynn Ave in the South End of Burlington, VT.  We have 4-6 rigging points in this gorgeous, light-filled studio, perfect to help our students continue to increase their technique and artistry. Experienced teachers Nicole Dagesse, Laura Savard, alex prussin, Julia Berke, and Jacob Ireland combine dance, aerial technique, aerial theory, and conditioning in empowering group classes and private lessons.

Aerial dance is a form of movement that uses an apparatus (like a fabric, rope, hoop or trapeze) as a partner from which dancers can hang, ascend, pull, and experiment with gravity. We offer Aerial Fabric (hangs from the celing with two “tails”), Aerial Sling (hangs from the ceiling in a loop, like a hammock), Aerial Rope, and Aerial Hoop/Lyra (a strong metal hoop hung vertically). Aerial Yoga also uses the fabric hung as a sling, but the practice is more individual, centered with breath, and lower to the earth.

All bodies are welcome in aerial dance! If you are interested in trying a class, contact Nicole@murmurationsaerial.org. Foundations is a great place to start, though some prefer a few private lessons to learn the basics and adaptations that might be appropriate for specific body needs.

Summer Camp Information

We absolutely love the immersion, playfulness, and community building of summer camps!  We’ll be offering camps for a variety of ages and levels the weeks of June 22nd - August 10th.  Most camps are 9-3 M-Th* (note that we don’t have camps on Fridays - we made this change during Covid times and helps the density of summer camps feel manageable and enjoyable for our teachers).  The detailed schedule will be released January 16th, with registration opening February 1st at noon.  Our camps are the same price as the last few years:  $375 for full day camps, $225 for half day camps, scholarships are available to those in need.  We look forward to summer, and hopefully can provide a calm and easeful registration environment for parents!

Congratulations Feathers and Bone and Lunarcy Performers!
